Hi, I’m Sara! I have 3 little kids and I'm a stay at home mom. I've always had a dream to start my own business but never wanted to compromise time with my kids. That's when BuildsAfterBedtime was born- After I put my kids to bed, I built and sold shelves, baby gyms, custom furniture, montesorri learning towers etc etc. I learned a lot and still do projects here and there, but I was feeling like I wasn't contributing to the world and my community like I wanted to. I want to make a big impact for good and uplift others while still being a mom full time.
So this time after I would put my kids to bed I'd work on digital design instead of woodworking and I fell in love with it. After a while, I started creating designs that thought would look awesome on clothing. As I researched, I couldn't find a brand that focuses on Christ-centered shirts for girls camp, youth conference, trek, family reunions, mission shirts and just affordable, but quality christian apparel. I tried the whole etsy shop with a third party distributer but quickly realized that shipping was super slow and prices ended up being way higher than I wanted. So finally I decided to roll up my sleeves and do the whole shabang myself!
My oldest two kids had been begging to share a room anyway, so I bought bunkbeds and moved them in a room together and bam! I had a room in my house dedicated for my new business. There has been some trial and error but here's a few projects I've done so far.
So without further ado, I'm excited to introduce Wear & Uplift LLC! Our designs are filled with positive words and messages to make sure that everyone who sees and wears our apparel can feel seen and uplifted. Our goal is to spread positivity in a world full of negativity and above all be a reminder of God's love for everyone. This small business is my way of trying to add more goodness to the world while also loving and caring for my babies full time.
